Anthonis Moor

Anthonis Moor is a Byzantine icon painting artist. 2 works are cataloged here, principally at Brukenthal National Museum.

Anthonis Moor’s *Philip al II-lea al Spaniei* shows Spain’s king in a dark coat and white collar, while *Bărbat cu barbă roșcată* captures a red-bearded man in a plain black hat. Who wore those ruffs and who painted them? Look closer at the hats in the collection.
