Artist

Samuel Neale

Samuel Neale is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

Samuel Neale spent his life wandering the Thames Valley with a pocket full of paints, sketching crumbling brickwork and crooked doorways that most people walked past. He loved the way light slanted across old roofs in the late afternoon, turning soot-stained walls into soft gold. That same light shows up on the watercolour *Old Houses at Abingdon, Berkshire*, where half-timbered facades lean toward each other like old friends. He’s the kind of artist to keep in your back pocket for the next time you stumble on a quiet Thames-side town.
