Eleuterio Riccardi

Eleuterio Riccardi is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

Eleuterio Riccardi spent his days in a cramped Naples studio, surrounded by stacks of yellowing photographs he’d shoot then forget. He never titled his work, leaving viewers to guess where one street ends and another bleeds into shadow. Why he fits here? Look up his Untitled (Photograph) from the 1970s—it’s a single Neapolitan alley lit by a lone bulb, half the frame swallowed by darkness, the other half humming with life you can almost hear.
