Philippos Manos
Philippos Manos is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Metropolitan Organisation of Museums of Visual Arts of Thessaloniki – MOMus.
Philippos Manos painted the same quiet street corner in Athens for years, switching between oil and gouache just to see how the light changed. In 1993 he turned the view into a grid of 49 small squares called *Άτομο*—Greek for “atom”—as if the whole scene could be broken into tiny, repeating parts. Look up that painting and zoom in: the shutters aren’t shut the same way twice, yet the neighborhood feels more solid than any single slice.
