Blaisot

Blaisot is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

This early-19th-century printmaker carved everyday scenes for the Parisian street press. One of their plates, *H Beard Print Collection*, shows a butcher’s stall packed with hams and cleavers, ink lines so sharp you can count the sawdust on the floor. The work belongs to that moment when cheap lithography turned Parisian life into mass entertainment. After that, look at the way the shadows fall across the meat hooks in the same collection—Blaisot left the rest of their prints unnamed, but those tensed lines stay in your eyes.
