Patraskidis Triantafyllos

Patraskidis Triantafyllos is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Athens School of Fine Arts.

This Athens-based sculptor made rough-hewn heads and standing figures from bent metal sheets, leaving the seams and dents visible like braille. He started welding in the late 1960s, turning scrap into bodies that feel both ancient and half-finished. See his 1969 “Head” in the National Gallery of Greece—it’s a quiet, lumpy thing that sits on a shelf like a thought you can touch.
