Artist

H. Muller

H. Muller is a Biedermeier artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

H. Muller’s tiny, obsessive watercolors look like birdseed scattered on a page—every speck in perfect scale, none drifting beyond the edge. They spent sixty years filling a single cabinet of drawers in a rented room above a clockmaker’s shop, turning each drawer into a world of its own. Slide one open and you’re staring at a single Untitled leaf from 1863; the veins on its stem are thinner than a human hair. Gallery Tiles lets you zoom into that drawer like it’s a museum case.
