Henry Noel Shore

Henry Noel Shore is an Impressionism artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

English artist Henry Shore painted views of historic places in watercolor around the late 1800s. One piece in this set is *The Pyramids during the Nile Flood* from about 1888, where the water touches the base of the ancient stones. Shore belonged to a tradition of British artists who traveled to Egypt to record its ruins and landscapes before cameras made the trip easy. Tap the painting to zoom in on the wet sand and the pyramid edges catching the light.
