André Foy

André Foy is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Finnish National Gallery.

Finnish painter André Foy made small, vivid clown-mask portraits in the early 1900s. His *Naamioita (Masques de clowns)* series lines the cheeks with bold stripes and hollow eyes, turning each painted mask into a tiny, grinning world. The works sit between folk portraiture and early modern color experiments; look for the white-on-black “mouth-open” mask in his set and compare it to the red diamond on green.
