Artist

J. Thomas

J. Thomas is a Baroque artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

This 18th-century printmaker made single-sheet images that sold in London shops for a penny or two. One surviving sheet, *H Beard Print Collection (17th March 1749)*, shows a crowd scene with clear outlines and simple shading. Their prints belong to the same quick, everyday tradition that produced theater bills, ballad covers, and satirical flyers for Grub Street readers. To see the same crisp linework in another place, tap *H Beard Print Collection (17th March 1749)*.
