Pierre Theunis

Pierre Theunis is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

Pierre Theunis carried a camera like others carry a wallet—always in his pocket, always ready. He snapped photos of Brussels’ back alleys in the 1960s, when no one thought to look: wet cobbles, rusted shop signs, a cat curled on a windowsill. His pictures feel like time-stamped postcards from a city that forgot to pose. In Gallery Tiles, hunt down “Untitled (Photograph)” from 1964 and you’ll spot the moment the rain stopped mid-air over Rue du Midi.
