Anton van Dyck

Anton van Dyck is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Finnish National Gallery.

Anton van Dyck painted a single self-portrait that survives today, Anton van Dyckin omakuva, showing the artist in a dark coat with a white ruff, his gaze steady and confident. The work belongs to the early 17th century, a time when artists in the Netherlands and Flanders often used mirrors to capture their own faces. This small panel is one of the few direct records of van Dyck’s appearance before he moved to England. Tap Anton van Dyckin omakuva to study his brushwork up close.
