Artist

Samuel Richardson

Samuel Richardson is a Romanticism artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

Samuel Richardson made a single print in the H Beard Collection on 20 May 1804. The sheet shows a modest street scene, likely a London lane, with a row of brick houses and a shallow cart track. A solitary figure in a dark coat walks toward the viewer, while a dog sniffs the gutter near a water pump at the corner. The print’s dry, linear style belongs to the austere final decades of the 18th century. Look next at H Beard Print Collection itself to see the full sheet.
