François Bonnet

François Bonnet is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

François Bonnet kept a tiny sketchbook in his waistcoat pocket and filled it with quick ink lines whenever he sat down—whether on a café stool or a park bench. He loved how sunlight hits marble differently in Rome, so he painted the Pantheon over and over, chasing the way the dome’s curves catch the late afternoon glow. If you stand under the real dome and tilt your head back, you’ll feel what Bonnet chased on canvas: light turning stone into something soft.
