Flora Masson

Flora Masson is a Contemporary Abstract artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

The woman who painted the Isle of Skye in watercolours owned a tiny boat she rowed to the same cliffs every summer, sketchbook in her coat pocket. She worked in quick washes, leaving the paper’s white spots to suggest wind and light. Her Glen Sligachen captures a cove where the tide turns in minutes; if you stand there at dusk you’ll see the same glow on the water’s edge.
