Artist

Inigo

Inigo is a Rococo painting artist. 2 works are cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

This watercolor painter worked in late-18th-century England and left two views of the same flower near Margate. In Dent-de-lion, near Margate (1787) the dandelion stands tall against a windy sky, while Dent-de-lion Gate, near Margate (1787) shows the same plant framed by a rustic wooden gate. Both sheets catch the quiet drama of wild growth against human limits. Slide to the gate scene and look for the way light catches the wood.
