Feradouros Dionysios
Feradouros Dionysios is an artist. 2 works are cataloged here, principally at Athens School of Fine Arts.
Greek metalworker Feradouros Dionysios made bold, hammered reliefs and paintings that capture the Athens suburb of Galatsi in the 1950s. His sheet-metal pieces like Daughter’s head (1958) press faces and rooftops into glowing planes, while the two Galatsi canvases (1956–57) show the same neighborhood bathed in late-afternoon light. The tiny silver icon Panagia Platytera (1958) tucks a haloed Virgin into a frame the size of your palm. If you like the mix of folk craft and modernist planes, tap the 1956 Galatsi painting to see the suburb’s geometry dissolve in dusk.
