Richard Phené Spiers
Richard Phené Spiers is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.
Richard Phené Spiers spent his life wandering between London’s building sites and Parisian cafés, sketching rooftops by day and arguing about art over cheap wine by night. He painted watercolors that looked like someone had pressed real sunlight onto paper—buildings, streets, and bridges lit up in ways that made you want to step into the scene. See for yourself in "The Pont des Arts at Dawn," where the Seine glows pink and the bridge’s ironwork looks almost light enough to lift.
