Artist

Lodge

Lodge is a Romanticism artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

This printmaker worked in the late 1700s, turning current events into crisp black-and-white images for London audiences. One sheet from 30 September 1782 shows a busy street scene titled H Beard Print Collection, packed with carriages and top-hatted figures. These sheets were sold folded and unfolded, so buyers could paste them into books or pin them to walls. Want to see how London looked in ink and paper? Tap the same sheet and flip to the full print.
