Hadjinikolou Alexia

Hadjinikolou Alexia is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Athens School of Fine Arts.

Alexia Hadjinikolou kept a studio in the old port of Volos, Greece, where she hoarded empty olive-oil cans and rusty nails until she needed to solder something. She turned those scraps into delicate metal landscapes that look like the terrain was drawn with light instead of wire. Flip open one of her hinge-mounted pieces and the whole wall seems to breathe with hills and sea-levels. Hunt down the 1994 Landscape—it hangs in the Municipal Gallery of Larissa and you can walk right up to it.
