Artist
Adriaen Muntinck
Adriaen Muntinck is a Baroque artist. 2 works are cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.
Dutch printmakers around 1600 loved turning classical columns into souvenirs. Adriaen Muntinck carved two of the most popular: Ionic Term and Corinthian Term, both printed in 1604. Each shows a carved stone figure fused with a column shaft, dressed in draped robes. Look closely and you’ll spot the fluted grooves and acanthus leaves that tell the order apart. Flip to Ionic Term next—same year, same trick, same stone-gray palette.
