Edwards

Edwards is a Romanticism artist. 2 works are cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

This guy Edward Edwards spent his days in 18th-century London printing crowd scenes so packed with detail you feel like you’re elbow-to-elbow with the mob. One sheet shows a Parliament crowd on July 5th, 1777—tiny headlines and top hats everywhere. Another captures a January 20th, 1772 frost fair on the Thames where half-frozen revellers slide and skate. Edwards gives you the clatter and the cold in one crowded print.
