Wallich

Wallich is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

Wallich took posed photos of actors in costume backstage, a 19th-century habit when cameras were rare and slow. Their lone surviving shot here shows Guy Little frozen in a costumed role, one foot on a prop table, gas lamp light catching his coat’s brass buttons. Tap the lamp’s glow to zoom in on the gilt frame hanging crooked on the wall.
