The image shows a crowded wooden vessel afloat on a dark sea, its hull packed with human figures, animals, and cargo under a star-filled sky. Every person and creature faces forward, squeezed shoulder to shoulder. The print is stark and detailed, as if each face and fold of cloth were carved rather than drawn.
