The Theatre Royal Printing Office
The Theatre Royal Printing Office is an Impressionism artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.
This small 19th-century print shop made eye-catching single-page posters and playbills for London theaters. In 1881 they created a bold, colorful poster for a charity show starring Charles Paulo and Mlle Nellie, crammed with swirling letters and a tiny train on the left edge. Their 1865 playbill, all dense Victorian type, lists actors and acts in neat columns ready for the box office. Step inside by tapping the train in the corner of the 1881 poster.
