Aggelis Marinos

Aggelis Marinos left almost no trace beyond a few spare marks and oddly bent metals stamped simply with the word *Άτιτλο*—Greek for “Untitled.” In 1987 he hammered a sheet until it curled into something that looked both broken and precise, then did it again the next year on paper. Why he chose to erase every other label is anyone’s guess. To see them side by side, try the corner shelf at the Athens gallery where locals leave coffee cups overnight; the bent metal leans against the wall like a thought half-finished.
