Gabriel White

Gabriel White is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

This guy Gabriel White spent his life chasing the dazzle of glass and iron buildings. By day he sketched the iron girders, by night he turned the sketches into prints so crisp you can count the rivets. He printed “Sculpture at the Crystal Palace” in 1978, freezing that Victorian greenhouse in black and white; the paper still smells faintly of ink and crowded exhibition halls. If you’ve ever stood under a train-shed roof and thought it looked like a cathedral, try this print on for size—it’s the same trick on paper.
