Sima Ion

Sima Ion is an artist. 2 works are cataloged here, principally at Moldova National Museum Complex.

Sima Ion kept a window cracked all winter, explaining that snowdrops need the chill to wake up. She painted them first thing in spring, right on her kitchen table, using the same chipped teacup for water and brushes. Look for Iarna (Serele de flori iarna) in soft blues and whites; it’s the painting where crocuses push through snow like tiny fingers. If you like it, try her Crenguțe înflorite next—those petals almost hum with color.
