R. Lennselink

R. Lennselink is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

R. Lennselink’s drawings smell like river grass and tar. They spent years sketching Dutch barges from the deck of one, ink pots rolling beside coiled ropes. Their lines never soften the wood’s grain or the water’s chop—just quick, sure strokes that catch the moment a boat leaves or arrives. The drawing Dutch Praam and Tjalk, done in 1913, is the place to start: two hulls kissing in a canal, shadows and light locked like gears.
