A Transylvanian church artist of the 1700s, Ioan Pop Zugrav din Făgăraș specialized in religious drawings. One of his surviving works is the pen-and-ink drawing Sfântul Ierarh Nicolae pe tron, a seated bishop on a carved throne framed by scrolling vines.
