Clarke Hutton
Clarke Hutton is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.
Clarke Hutton worked in the early 1900s, filling sketchbooks with watercolors, drawings and lithographs. His 1920s sheet “Exhibition of Water-colours, Drawings, Lithographs by Clarke Hutton” is still the best-known record of his hand. Most of his sheets stayed in portfolios; only a handful were ever printed and exhibited. Flip to that single titled sheet to see how he balanced ink line and soft wash.
