Aurel Kessler

Aurel Kessler is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at National Museum of Art of Romania.

Aurel Kessler spent his summers in Balcic, a Black Sea resort where he sketched the cliffs and fishing boats between card games with boisterous locals. He built tiny bridges out of matchsticks while waiting for inspiration. One print, Peisaj din Balcic, folds all those matchstick lines and salty air into a single sheet—try counting the layers of ink that turn the water gray at dawn.
