Artist

Andrew Gray

Andrew Gray is a Romanticism artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

Andrew Gray made a single print in our collection called *Cardinal Beaufort's Bedchamber* around 1802. The image shows a candlelit room with heavy drapes, carved furnishings, and a four-poster bed, all in the stiff, detailed style of British topographical prints from the late 1700s. These prints were like early travel brochures, giving wealthy viewers a peek inside grand houses and castles. Tap the image to see the room’s gilded mirror and shadowy corners up close.
