Vembos Andrea snapped black-and-white photographs in Athens alleys after midnight, when the city’s neon signs bled onto wet pavement and no one was watching. The pictures look ordinary—doorways, puddles, a stray cat—until you notice the single light source that turns every scene into a tiny stage. Start with the 2011 series titled “Άτιτλο” (Greek for “Untitled”); swipe until you find the one where a lone scooter casts a long shadow across a lime-green wall at 3 a.m.—suddenly the whole street feels like a film still you just walked into.
