Artist

Lina Arpesani

Lina Arpesani is an artist. 2 works are cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

Lina Arpesani left two photographs in the archive: *The Two Mothers* and an untitled street scene. She worked in the early 20th century, but little else about her life is recorded. The pictures frame quiet, everyday moments—one shows two women with a child, the other records a shadow-streaked corner of a city. That second photo, shot in Milan, is the clearest clue we have to her eye. Look for the untitled Milan street scene to step into her world.
