Zoe Vasiliki-Sappho

Zoe Vasiliki-Sappho is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Athens School of Fine Arts.

Zoe Vasiliki-Sappho made religious art in the 1950s and 60s, working in metal and paint. In 1959 they shaped the haloed Saint Alexander in hammered metal, then painted Saint Gregory in flat, bold colors the same year. Three years later their Daughter’s Head rose from another metal sheet, its planes sharp and quiet. Look next at the same year’s Composition, a small metal relief where simple forms read like a church window.
