Artist
J.B. Moenaerts
J.B. Moenaerts is a Post-Impressionism artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Groeningemuseum.
J.B. Moenaerts set up his easel in the same Antwerp café every Tuesday, sketching the same chipped coffee pot for years. The pot appears in dozens of his canvases, always half-empty, always catching the same slant of afternoon light. His work belongs in Gallery Tiles because you can walk into the Rubens House in Antwerp and stand where he stood, then spot that very pot in the corner of his *Still Life with Coffee Pot* (1899).
