John Bell

John Bell filled the early 1800s with prints, mugs, door stops and prayer-book designs. In 1791 he etched two prints for the H Beard Collection, then in 1830–50 he shaped earthenware mugs, and by 1844 he drafted “Design for Compositions from Morning and Evening Prayer.” In 1848 he even cast an untitled door stop.
