Bascioni

Bascioni is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

She kept a shoebox of hand-carved printing blocks under her bed and printed flyers for the neighborhood grocer by day, then worked on her own prints at night. Bascioni’s black-and-white scenes feel like someone pressed a memory between two sheets of paper. If you’ve ever held a concert ticket stub and half-remembered the show, her 1923 print “H Beard Collection” does that in ink.
