S. Begg is an artist. 4 works are cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.
Early 20th-century printmaker S. Begg specialized in black-and-white news-sheet illustrations for London’s H. Beard collection, turning daily headlines into shareable images. Four of these ephemeral prints survive: the April 20, 1901 “H Beard Print Collection,” the May 16, 1903 issue, the February 1, 1913 sheet, and the June 16, 1900 edition. Each sheet is dated exactly and sized to slip into a pocket or pin to a wall. To see the crisp lines and bold typography of one of these day-old prints, tap “H Beard Print Collection (16th May 1903).”
