Jerome Loisy
Jerome Loisy is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Metropolitan Organisation of Museums of Visual Arts of Thessaloniki – MOMus.
Jerome Loisy keeps a small notebook where he sketches ideas with a stubby pencil he stole from a hotel in Athens. He once turned a whole year of paintings into a single question, written in Greek above the canvas: *What’s happening with the whale.* The answer isn’t obvious, but the blue whale that seems to float between a kitchen stove and a neon sign feels impossible to ignore. Find it in his 2009 painting *Τί συμβαίνει με τη φάλαινα*—look for the tiny signature in the bottom right corner and you’ll know you’re staring at the real thing.
