Brunello, V.

Brunello, V. is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

Vincent Brunello never left Venice but he spent years chasing sheep. Not actual sheep—inky, wobbly ones that parade across his late-1700s prints like a flock of cloudy ghosts. He sold these to tourists who thought they were buying pastoral souvenirs, not noticing the sheep were always melting or multiplying. Hunt down his “H Beard Print Collection” and you’ll see why: every sheet looks like a half-remembered dream you can’t quite shake.
