Albert Jacobsz Cuyp

Albert Jacobsz Cuyp is a Baroque artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at National Museum of Art of Romania.

Albert Cuyp made small printed portraits in the 1600s, often showing women dressed in lace ruffs and dark gowns. His only print in this set is Portret de femeie, a 1655 etching of a seated woman in profile. The crisp lines and careful shading show the Dutch Golden Age style at its most restrained.
