Artist

Louis Lassalle

Louis Lassalle is a Romanticism artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

Louis Lassalle left only one trace: an untitled print dated between 1840 and 1849, its scene somewhere in Paris streets or cafés. Printmakers of the 1840s often etched everyday life in quick, direct lines—figures in doorways, shop signs, lamplight on wet cobbles. The single surviving sheet carries no title, no caption, just the faint marks of a moment caught between gaslight and shadow.
