Rigo Frères

Rigo Frères is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

Rigo Frères left behind a stack of old prints—sharp, funny drawings of beards that look like they’re laughing at you. Their shop in Paris printed these beards in the 1700s, mostly for rich folks who wanted a laugh or a jab at their rivals. You can still flip through their whole beard catalog today at the Metropolitan Museum’s digital collection.
