Pieter van zis Standaart Bloemen
Pieter van zis Standaart Bloemen is a Baroque artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Brukenthal National Museum.
Jan Bloemen painted the same dusty road over and over, a skinny dog always napping in the same patch of shade. The Dutch artist dragged his easel along the Via Flaminia near Rome, chasing the same warm light hour after hour. He’d stop for wine at a roadside inn, then set up again with a new canvas—hundreds of near-identical views of travelers heading home at dusk. Try tapping “Via Flaminia” to stand where he stood, or peek at his “Turmă în drum spre casă” to watch the dog blink awake.
