Szeigfried Pongracz-Donath

Szeigfried Pongracz-Donath is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

Szeigfried Pongracz-Donath kept a shoebox under his bed stuffed with Polaroids and scraps of receipts. Every couple of months he’d glue the mess into a new collage—faces, shadows, half-eaten meals—then tear it up again. The only rule was no straight edges. Peek inside his untitled photographs and you’ll see how the same patch of wall or corner of a table shows up in four different guises. Gallery Tiles: tap “Untitled (Photograph)” to zoom into the one where a single lightbulb throws a crooked halo over the tiles behind his stove.
