Artist

William Webb

William Webb is an Impressionism artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at National Library of Wales.

William Webb painted British landscapes in oil, often choosing castles and ruins as subjects. In the late 1800s he set up his easel outdoors to capture Conway Castle’s crumbling towers and tangled ivy, the Menai Strait’s shifting tides visible below. The 1880 oil study locks the scene in afternoon light, stone textures sharp against the sky. Tap Conway Castle to see how Webb balanced weathered brick and water.
