Artist

Paul Scheurich

Paul Scheurich is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

Paul Scheurich loved drawing delicate, porcelain-like figures that looked almost too fragile to touch. His pencil lines are so smooth and controlled you’d think he was sketching on china, not paper. He spent years decorating Berlin cafés with these elegant, slightly dreamy women, turning them into the city’s favorite postcard girls. Tap his 1907 *Young Woman Standing* to see why Berlin in the early 1900s couldn’t get enough of his smooth, stylish lines.
