Artist

Johan Richter

Johan Richter is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Finnish National Gallery.

Johan Richter painted quiet scenes of Venice, especially its canals and grand buildings. In “Venetsialainen kanalanäkymä” you can almost hear the water lapping against the palazzos. “Näköala Venetsiasta” turns the same view into delicate metalwork. He worked in the late 1600s when artists loved showing off Venice’s glittering light and water. Tap the canal painting next to step inside one of those sunlit doorways.
